Latin American and Latino Studies Minor
The minor in Latin American and Latino studies requires seven LALS courses: two lower-division courses and five upper-division courses. Knowledge of Spanish and/or Portuguese is highly recommended, but not required for the minor. Students may use up to two
pre-approved elective courses from outside of LALS toward the minor.
Course Requirements
Lower-Division Courses
Any two lower-division LALS courses.
Upper-Division Courses
One course chosen from the three following core courses:
