BIOE 276 Data Science for Ecology and Evolutionary Biology

Practical introduction to the computational and statistical skills students in ecology and evolutionary biology need to know for working in our data-filled modern world. Topics include practices for reproducible science, scientific programming in R, and statistical reasoning with ecological and evolutionary data. The course is taught as a flipped classroom with extensive hands-on practice so that students leave with the critical skills to continue on their own. A final project consists of analysis of a real dataset.
