CRWN 98B Podcasting: Digital Storytelling in Ireland

Class taught in Ireland during summer session together with Writing 2: Research and Travel Writing. Students immerse themselves in Irish culture and history and learn from local guest speakers. The class teaches storytelling, sound gathering, interviewing, scriptwriting, audio editing, and developing a “radio voice.” Analyzes the strategies used for the production of professional podcasts. Students show their ability to integrate all these skills by rendering a research project from the concurrent Writing 2 course into the audio medium.

Prerequisite(s): concurrent enrollment in WRIT 2.
