Biology: Ecology and Evolutionary

BIOE 176 Data Science for Ecology & Evolutionary Biology

Practical introduction to the computational and statistical skills students in ecology and evolutionary biology need to know for working in our data-filled modern world. Topics include practices for reproducible science, scientific programming in R, and statistical reasoning with ecological and evolutionary data. Course is taught as a flipped classroom with extensive hands-on practice so that students leave with the critical skills to continue on their own. A final project consists of analysis of a real dataset.
