ANTH 161S Anthropology of Food, Abroad

Food as a fundamental aspect of social/cultural life and key concept in development of anthropological theory and methods. Studying abroad, investigations are grounded in local ethnographic context to learn how anthropologists study food, practice methods, and understand food's local importance.

Requirements

Prerequisite(s): Concurrent enrollment in ANTH 151S is required. Requirements for the FSFS London program include enrollment in both ANTH 161s and ANTH 151s. Students are only admitted to the program and the two courses through formal application to and acceptance into the FSFS program by Global Engagement.
