PSYC 107 Gender and Development

Examines the developmental psychology of gender during childhood. Topics include prenatal sexual differentiation, gender identity development, stigmatization of gender nonconformity, play and peer relationships, gender-based stereotyping and discrimination, gender biases in academics and sports, and gender representations in children’s media.

Requirements

Prerequisite(s): PSYC 10 and PSYC 100. Enrollment is restricted to psychology majors.
